Photo gallery in September is now posted! This month’S theme is “Freedom”

Every month, I post three photos that I submitted to my photo school class.

To take good photos, it is important to have more people to look at. It is also wonderful to communicate with people through photos that I took. That’ why I post photos every month!

Freedom is the theme of my life

What was I born for? I sometimes think..

I think the theme of my life is “freedom”. I don’t like group action, I don’t like to obey commands even from parents and bosses. I just want to live freely. Well, it is a life without virtue, but that’s my life.

So, when the photo school teacher said, “next month’s theme is freedom (to decide by each student)!, I thought the theme was really “freedom”.

Then, I decided the theme really as “freedom” and took three photos.

The first photo is “Be released”

I saw a man in the morning who were reading a newspaper sitting by a river. I pressed the shutter from a distance and cropped (cut out an image partially) the image.

He was a kind of elderly person, so I thought he was finally released from both work and family, spending his morning time freely and relaxing. The slow flow of Tsurumi river reflected his atmosphere.

“Many students shoot from a distance, but if you get the chance, say hello to the person you shot and have a little conversation” said the teacher. “Maybe he was reading a newspaper by a river, for some unexpected reasons”.

I remember I was asked “what you are taking?” when I was taking a photo at the river.

“If you are shy, they will think you are a suspicious person and will get self-defense, so just say good morning! I took a picture of you because you look so nice! You should go something like this”

Oh, OK. Photography offers lots of unique opportunities for me.

The second photo is “This way, going further or not”

When I encountered this landscape, the emotion was suddenly come to me, “what’s ahead? I wanted to see”.

Going further or not.

It is me to decide. I chose this photo to deliver a message that “we have a freedom of choice” .

“A very good photo!” Surprisingly, the teacher highly evaluated.

It only took a few minutes to take out the camera and pressed the shutter button. Does this photo, that I didn’t use any technique, move peoples’ hearts even a little?

“This picture makes people imagine something”, said the teacher. Thank you so much!

The third photo is “My time”

For me, the most I feel freedom, is my daily life, living by myself.

Anything I do, any foods I eat, any time I go to bed, all I can decide freely. I chose this photo to convey the message, “it’s really nice living alone!”.

“If you wanted to show the entire room, this color temperature (white balance) would be the correct answer, but if you wanted to present the foods look delicious, you could have changed the color temperature a little bit. ” said the teacher. That’s right. I had noticed that the foods didn’t look so good…

This month was the last one for the beginner class of photography

Twelve lessons have already completed. It was so fast but it was the special year for me. My photos have changed. Now I can shoot what I want to shoot (I think..). Thanks to the teacher’s strict guidance!

I will take the intermediate class from next month. Another year will start soon. I was told that we could become able to express things that are not shown in the photo if we learn at the class. Very interesting!
